Advantages and disadvantages of apricot:
Apricot tree is originally grown in regions of china and still grows there as wild. This tree, in beginning of the first century A.D. entered Asian and Europe. Apricot tree grows up to height of 6 meters. Its leaves look like sharp heart and their color is light green tending to yellow. Flowers of apricot are big and white, tending to red. Its fruit is juicy with yellow color and has a pleasant flavor and they become ripe in the middle of summer. Apricot nut is flat, brown, and with elliptical shape. Its flavor is sweet and sometimes bitter.
Advantages of Apricot: (Scientific name is Armeniaca bulgar)

Medicinal properties: 
Apricot, in terms of ancient Iranian medicine, is cold and wet.
It filtrates blood.
Opens the blood vessels.
Is laxative
Removes bad smell of mouth

Is good for anemia due to having cobalt

Treatment Properties of Apricot Nut and Leaf:

Apricot nut in terms of ancient Iranian medicine is warm and dry and its leaf and flower are cold and dry.
Its nut strengthens sexual power.
If apricot nut oil is dropped into the ear, it cures noise of ear and cures heaviness of ear.
Apricot nut oil is helpful for softening skin
If apricot nut oil is butter, is useful for removing intestinal parasites
Bitter apricot nut oil cures anal inflation and removes bladder stones
Boiled leaf of apricot is helpful for curing diarrhea 
For curing earache, you can apply some drops of boiled apricot leaf in the ear.

Disadvantages of Apricot:
Generally, apricot is digested difficultly. Children and old people shall avoid from eating too much apricot. Apricot always shall be eaten before having meal and its nut shall be eaten at the same time, since its nut prevents from inflation of stomach and makes its digestion easy.
